Poverty, work — and the help of friends.
Financial support helps cover operating costs, facility maintenance and the community’s healthcare — needs made heavier by Nigeria’s present economic hardship. The monks live by vows of poverty and the Ora et Labora tradition of prayer and work, but donations remain essential to sustaining their charitable, spiritual and physical needs.
